As the Customer Support & Inside Sales Manager, Shirley is passionate about creating exceptional customer experiences. She strives to move GPA and its customers forward by providing individualized support that serves as a seamless extension of their businesses.
Shirley supports the growth of the company by leading the Customer Support and Inside Sales Departments in providing positive experiences for GPA’s customers. She achieves this by analyzing key performance metrics, seeking out ways to increase efficiency, and keeping her team informed with the latest market information and product knowledge. Shirley also works in conjunction with the GPA sales organization to support their needs as they service GPA’s customers. Her approach to leadership is simple: she believes in leading by example, embracing others’ ideas, and empowering her employees to achieve their full potential, both personally and professionally.
Shirley’s successful career includes several positions where she was responsible for ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Before joining GPA in 2016, she spent two years as the Customer Experience Operations Manager for RSA Medical. Prior to that, Shirley worked at U.S. Cellular for seven years, starting as a Customer Service Coach until she was promoted to Senior Customer Service Manager. In these roles, she was instrumental in recruiting employees, developing procedures, and cultivating an environment of creative thinking. She also worked at Sprint as a Business Operations Team Leader for six years, where she was the proud recipient of their Diamond Award for providing outstanding leadership, and the Peak Performer Award for achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
Shirley’s dedication to service runs deep, extending into her personal life. She is a regular volunteer with the Hesed House, a shelter that provides food, clothing, and other resources to individuals facing homelessness. She also serves as a member of the trustee board at her local church and is actively involved in career mentorship for congregation members.
Shirley earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from DePaul University.
