As Business Development Director – Client Marketing Services, Trina helps GPA’s customers add greater traction to their marketing efforts. She provides market intelligence, proprietary resources, and actionable ideas that facilitate growth, serving as an extension of their business. With her firsthand knowledge of the graphic arts industry and insights from the evolving marketing landscape, Trina helps identify what success looks like for them, and then provides the support and tools to make it happen.

Bringing 20 years of expertise in developing and managing GPA’s corporate marketing programs, Trina leverages her experience to develop personalized solutions tailored for each business. She regularly collaborates with GPA’s customers and their clients, who include designers, brand managers, and marketing professionals, to learn about their current marketing goals and efforts. She works closely with them to understand their unique needs, and then proposes marketing initiatives that can drive greater engagement.

One of Trina’s favorite parts of her role is the puzzle-like process of putting all the pieces together to help create different campaigns and marketing plans. She also enjoys the opportunity to learn from the diverse experiences, backgrounds, and thought processes of everyone that she collaborates with. This enthusiasm and drive to stay informed about new trends, technology, and forces shaping the graphic arts industry have been instrumental to her success throughout her career. It makes Trina a vital resource, keeping her and GPA’s partners one step ahead of the exciting developments in the world of print and marketing.

During Trina’s extensive career at GPA, she supported the advancement of the company’s brands, products, and culture in considerable ways. By leading the development of GPA’s award-winning marketing promotions over the years, from collateral to support tools and multi-channel campaigns, she has proven the distinct value of GPA’s products and services and how they make it possible to stand out in a competitive marketplace. She is responsible for spearheading many of the company’s firsts, including their first corporate and commerce websites, development of their social media presence, and other significant initiatives. For her many lasting contributions, she earned GPA’s 2009 President’s Award, which is awarded to one employee a year for high levels of achievement in promoting GPA’s corporate goals throughout the year, and for unselfishly going above and beyond the call of duty.

Trina’s career began at an in-house advertising agency where she worked for four years as an Advertising Manager. She went on to join Vijuk Equipment, Inc., where she served as Director of Advertising for six years. At Vijuk, Trina developed the company’s advertising, tradeshow presence, and other marketing collateral before moving on to a role in Account Services at another advertising agency, Marketing Alternatives, Inc. There, she planned and coordinated promotions and creative concepts for clients, and presented ways to make their retail displays more compelling. In 1997, she took on the role of Graphic Designer at GPA, was promoted within a year to Marketing Manager, advanced to become Director of Marketing, and then took on her current role at the start of 2018.

Trina holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications and Graphic Design from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. She continues to stay on top of the latest advancements in the world of marketing through her membership in the American Marketing Association (AMA), the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), and various other marketing organizations. She also stays active in her community through her volunteer efforts at her local VFW and contributes to a variety of humanitarian, animal welfare and other causes she is passionate about.
