As the manager of GPA’s Production Center, Mark ensures that it operates efficiently, smoothly and safely. His strong technical background and strategic, team-oriented approach have enhanced GPA’s production processes and further heightened the level of service that GPA provides its customers.
Mark leads the team that optimizes and enhances substrates to create finished products that fit specific customer needs. He is responsible for analyzing production metrics, assisting with research and development on new products for HP Indigo presses, facilitating equipment expansions and maintenance, and collaborating on the production schedule. Because of his careful attention to quality and efficiency, the Production Center allows GPA to offer the highest caliber products to meet customer demands.
Mark strives to impart his competitive spirit and process-driven approach to his employees. He works with each person on his team to continually set goals, and he enjoys seeing his employees experience the satisfaction of surpassing their past performance metrics.
In 1987, Mark began his accomplished career in the graphic arts industry when he joined Suburban Impressions, where he served for five years as their General Production Manager. He went on to work for Impressions Unlimited, and for five years acted as their Lead Pressman/Foreman. He next moved to Blooming Color as their Operations Manager in 1997. After further developing his operational expertise at Blooming Color for 15 years, Mark joined Fort Dearborn Company as their Operations Manager in 2012. During Mark’s tenure at Fort Dearborn Company, his location had the distinction of winning Plant of the Year for two out of three years, due largely to his contributions of reducing waste and increasing overall production efficiencies. In 2015, Mark joined GPA in his current position of Production Manager.
Mark earned his Associate of Applied Science degree from College of DuPage.
