South Central Region
Kevin Cooper is GPA’s Area Vice President for the South Central United States Region. His commitment to providing leadership and support to GPA’s Territory Sales Managers in the South Central Region has helped him develop meaningful solutions that foster long-term growth for customers. He regularly represents GPA at industry events and on-site at clients’ locations, and works closely with them to demonstrate how GPA can provide greater value to their organization.
Kevin believes that when you are doing what you love, it is extremely rewarding, and does not feel like work. He enjoys seeing his team members and GPA’s customers succeed, and appreciates the challenge of finding new ways to help them do so every day.
Having spent many of his years at GPA in a sales capacity, Kevin brings a unique perspective to his role. His firsthand experience with the special culture of growth and innovation unique to GPA’s sales professionals led him to develop GPA’s Sales Culture Book, a comprehensive internal resource designed to preserve its legacy. The Sales Culture Book documents GPA’s unique approach to serving our clients, and is used to empower current, new and future GPA sales professionals with a unified approach for creating results for our customers.
In 1993, Kevin joined GPA as a Territory Sales Manager and then became GPA’s Western Region General Manager. From there, he went on to synthetic paper sales for a division of Arjowiggins, then to HP Indigo as a Premier Account Manager. In 2009 Kevin rejoined GPA as a Territory Sales Manager, until he was promoted in 2011 to his current position.
Kevin has the distinction of being named GPA’s Salesperson of the Year two years in a row: in both 1997 and 1998. He has also received GPA’s Customer Service Excellence Award in 2001, which is presented for consistently delivering excellent service to external and internal customers. He credits hard work, a good attitude and a passion for learning for his professional achievements and success over the years.
A graduate of Kansas University in Kansas, Kevin has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications.
